Intrepid Paralegal Solutions LLC. is a national virtual paralegal service provider who works with not only pro se litigants, but paralegals looking to work virtually, and to contract with attorneys seeking an easier, and often, more affordable solution than hiring an in-house paralegal.

MY MISSION TO EXPOSE THEM

Of course, I cannot tell you all of our secrets, but I can divulge in bits that might inspire and stir a desire to operate in a similar fashion which honors paralegals for their hard work, and recognizes how vital they are concerning your legal matters.
 

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

I will likely never understand why my application got noticed, nor why I was chosen, when, on paper, there were certainly much more qualified prospects out there. I was freshly out of college and, in my opinion, significantly inexperienced, yet something on that resume or on my cover letter stood out to somebody. While I will always ponder the possible reasons why, quite unexpectedly, I was indeed hired, and once on the inside, I began to see the ins-and-outs, and exactly how and why this company thrives. 

CULTURE

The first two things that truly stood out to me were their work culture and their leadership style. This company very much cultivates a collaboration style work culture wherein I was very amazed by the approachability of everyone involved. There doesn’t necessarily exist a pyramid structure of a hierarchy system, but all IPS contractors are all about being a team and working as a single unit with shared goals, values, and interests. At this company, your voice is very much heard, and your ideas listened to and considered. Upper management not only participates in their contractors’ proposals, but also mentors them along the way. At any point, at any time, if I am in need of a helping hand, one is always there reaching out to me.

BOSSES

I have three specific bosses which all function in a different manner. My “biggest boss” as I call him, which is the CEO of the company is a very passionate and intriguing character with lots of positive and impactful energy, but humble to a fault. You’d be shocked to find that he takes no credit for his success and can see that he and he alone did not get the company exactly where it is, but that it was every individual working together as an entity. Also, I will add that he constantly thanks us all and builds each of us up every time any of us interacts with him. You can very well see his heart in all that he does.

Then I have one that I call my “collaboration boss”. He’s very analytical and the “let’s get things done, but let’s do it very strategically’ type. I have a lot of direct contact with this particular boss, and though he is mostly all business, I am able to break through and get him to show his lighter side sometimes which expresses evidence of the great person he truly is underneath the “let’s get to work” stuff. I have a lot of fun with him because I will confess that I make it my goal to break through that tough exterior as much as possible. 

I must also shout out to the CSO, for she is bright in intelligence and bright in spirit with an aura of warmth about her. Her enthusiasm is without measure and she has immense passion for IPS and their movement as well.

Lasty, I have a boss who I jokingly call my “sensei”. He’s this older man full of wisdom and peace, while always maintaining a sense of calmness and giving direction through wisdom and an abundance of knowledge and respect. He is regularly, and intentionally, spreading words of comfort and reassurance to each of us. I always think that if he existed in past times, he’d be a scribe with parchments piled all around and putting to ink necessary and valuable information to be shared with the world around him.

LEADERSHIP

Next, I must say that innovation runs thick throughout this virtual service provider as they heavily embrace a transformational leadership style. As I said earlier, every voice is heard here so many different strategies and projects are abounding at any single moment. In this way, they inspire employees to be successful in achieving goals and do this by using everyone’s potential to play a role in the company’s innovative advancements. 

It then becomes easier for them to, and highly effectively should I add, make those profound changes they strive for because each employee feels valued, appreciated, and heard. This transforms an ordinary paralegal from simply striving to do the job and get it done, to being passionate about their work and using their complete potential to finalize it. And not only this but working as a team with others who build each other up and always push each other to do their best.

What is most shocking about the previous paragraphs is that a transformational leadership style can often be the most challenging to grasp success with, but Intrepid not only manages to employ it, but prospers abundantly in its application.

PRAISE

Another thing I found to be monumentally astonishing was the  abundant amount of acknowledgement, gratitude, and praise given to IPS contractors. Even when mistakes are made, you’re respectfully corrected, educated as to why, and praised for the part you did well in. My CEO always makes an effort to give a shout out to everyone individually during our weekly team meeting pertaining to something they’ve done, or are doing, well. 

Lastly, and most importantly, this company, and the people who work for Intrepid genuinely care about not only their clients and the client's needs, but each other as well. I’m a natural caretaker and an empath so I feel very deeply for people and their needs, and my co-workers, and especially all of my upper management, share to some varying degree that deep concern for others as well. 

My CEO must be acknowledged here as it is very clear to all that he sincerely desires to help people and I believe that that is exactly where the loyalty he has secured from his contractor employees derives from. It is truthfully beyond evident. I’ve seen internal turmoil inflict pain on him when he was discussing a tragic situation pertaining to a case once. He, and we, all believe in justice and that all are deserving of it, and he makes sure that people who cannot afford attorneys still receive the justice they deserve at a reasonable cost. He simply wants to aid others.

From a paralegal’s perspective, you could say that I really have it all, and I wouldn’t argue with you about that. I’m a dreamer and full of ideas, and I’m in a place where people care about my input and my concepts. I’m also an abstract thinker which I believe makes me even more of an asset because I can see things differently and from angles that most cannot. I’m told all the time what a great job I’ve done, or are doing, and I’m constantly encouraged to keep it up, which, in essence, is simply just being me. How amazing is that?

The “exposing” of my company’s secrets sounds scandalous, but the truth is far from it. What my company does, how they operate, and the types of people they really are, well, it is worth saying they are nothing short of amazing. Many companies, bosses, workers, and so on, could learn a lot from these freely given and easily applied methods of going about business.

Embracing these techniques, no matter who you are, or where you stand at work, makes change occur. With that said, Intrepid Paralegal Solutions LLC. is causing change to happen, and this company is steamrolling its way into innovation. 

Some might say what I’ve just told is too good to be true, and honestly, I thought the very same thing. I kept waiting for the catch, but truth be told, it is in fact just an amazing company, with amazing people, doing amazing things, for amazing clients.
